Presnel Kimpembe’s tenure at Paris Saint-Germain appears to be drawing to a close. The French international defender is reportedly on the verge of a transfer to Qatar in the coming days, a development confirmed by L`Équipe. It has also been revealed that Kimpembe declined an opportunity to stay in European football.
Specifically, AC Milan had expressed interest in acquiring the player late in the recent transfer window. However, Kimpembe was entirely unreceptive to the idea of moving to the Italian club, which meant that no negotiations ever commenced, despite Milan`s initial inquiry. This anticipated move to Qatar comes after Kimpembe has seen very little playing time since sustaining a serious ankle injury in February 2023, and he is reportedly not considered part of coach Luis Enrique`s plans at PSG.
