Barcelona star names the one player he would sign for the club this summer

Barcelona star Gavi has this week revealed the identity of his dream signing for the club this summer transfer window.

The midfielder’s ideal reinforcement? Julián Álvarez.

Frontman Álvarez has of course been hotly tipped to take his talents to Catalunya’s capital for several weeks now. With Robert Lewandowski’s exit confirmed, the Argentine has been identified as the ideal replacement on the part of the Camp Nou brass.

Álvarez is for his part also understood to be keen on the prospect of a Barca switch, ready to wait it out for Deco and co. to wear their Atlético Madrid counterparts down in negotiations.

And as alluded to above, one current member of Hansi Flick’s squad who would be more than happy to call the attacker a teammate next season comes in the form of Gavi.

Asked which player he would sign for the Blaugrana if afforded the chance this summer, youngster Gavi told RAC1:

“Julián Álvarez.”
